Spaces – The Operational Environments
Spaces are where real work happens.
They act as collaborative environments that organize tasks, documents, and discussions related to a specific project, process, or initiative.
Key capabilities
- Define the purpose, scope, and goals of your work.
- Invite team members and assign roles (Owner, Member, Visitor).
- Customize workflows with Statuses and Card templates.
- Centralize files, discussions, and reporting within one structure.
Space types
| Type | Description | Typical use |
| Standard Space | Automatically available to all Workspace users | Department-wide initiatives |
| Private Space | Access limited to selected Workspace users | Sensitive or confidential projects |
| Shared Space | Cross-organizational or external collaboration | Partnerships or customer projects |
Example
In the Product Development Workspace, you create Spaces such as:
- New Product Line Q2
- Supplier Quality Improvement
- Design Validation Process
Each Space includes tasks (Cards), files, and communication relevant to that activity.
